Hi and welcome to my interdisciplinary space!
I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Philosophy at the University of Victoria, specializing in Political Philosophy and the Philosophy of Film and Cinema. My academic journey began with an undergraduate degree in Film, through which I worked extensively in film production and directed two short films. Film and Philosophy are deeply interconnected, and I am always intrigued by how one influences the other.
My connection with the camera extends to finding unique angles to tell stories and relay messages. I derive great pleasure from capturing people and details around me, with my latest focus being on food photography.
Combining my skills in photography, film, and philosophy, I have worked as a professional digital marketer for the past two years. My diverse client base includes restaurants, a physical therapy and wellness center, an educational online application, small businesses, and more.
My passion for dancing began at an early age, and I am currently a Salsa dance instructor in Victoria, B.C. I actively organize dance workshops and bootcamps, contributing to the dance community in new and creative ways. I have a particular interest in dance films and videos, always striving to combine these mediums whenever possible. My dance interests span Salsa, Bachata, Hip Hop, Contemporary, and Argentinian Tango.
